It has 512 levels of pressure. You can program the pen softness the way you like. It's like drawing on a sheet of paper with a pen brush or soft marker. This is good for people who work in all kinds of graphic arts, photo editing and touch ups.  (It's also great for people who have wrist pain from using the mouse!)The 15x is a good size for all kinds of artwork. It's not too small nor too big. You can work on your artwork comfortably without covering the image with the tool bars. It's light enough that you can put on your lap too.
